By using C or C++, you can get a pointer to the following OLE DB interfaces from several CDO COM classes:

These interfaces are not based on IDispatch, which means they cannot be used by clients that require automation such as scripting engines and by Microsoft® Visual Basic® when used in an OLE Automation environment.
