Using Recurring Appointments with Time Zones

[This is preliminary documentation and subject to change.]

When a recurring appointment spans between standard time and daylight savings time, CDO automatically adjusts the individual appointment instances. For example, you have scheduled meetings to occur each Monday at 2:00 P.M., for an entire year. When you view any instance of the meeting, the time zone adjusted time is 2:00 P.M. The UTC value in the Web Store varies plus or minus the daylight savings offset, so that when the local time conversion is made, the resulting value is still 2:00 P.M.

CDO uses the time zone information from the Appointment object when expanding recurring appointments. Start and end times are automatically adjusted for standard and daylight saving time.
