Contacts

Contacts are collections of information about a person or business for example: phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and pager numbers. You can store contact information in the Web Store or Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Active Directory™ or both.

Some of the benefits of using contacts with Exchange 2000 Server are:

• The Collaborative Data Objects (CDO) Person object, enables faster development by the creation and management of contact information stored in the Web Store and Active Directory.
• The CDO Person object, enables easy conversion of contact information to the Internet-industry VCARD format.
• The predefined Web Store schema.
• The ability to manipulate contact information through the CDO Person object and Microsoft® Outlook®.
