View

A view can be placed in a Web page just like a tag. It provides a tabular view display. The author can configure the columns by specifying attributes for the display names, property names, widths, etc.

Data can be sorted and grouped. Multiple views are allowed in a page.

The author can also provide an expression to respond to events such as clicking a row, double clicking, drag and drop.

A view is defined by:

• A set of fields (from, subject, date, etc).
• A Group By
• A Sort (on multiple fields, each with a direction)
• A Filter
• Special formatting for items in the view depending on conditions (same conditions available for filtering).
