Schema Collection Ref

Objects in Exchange Web Store define the location of their schema. This is done through the schema-collection-ref (SCR). The Schema Collection Ref is the URL of the location to begin searching for schema information.

If this SCR is not set, the default is the non-ipm schema folder. The URL can be to the current folder or another folder that is known to contain schema information.

The form definition sets the SCR property to a URL that indicates a folder in the store. For example: "http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchschemas/schema-collection-reference".

The baseschema property is a multi-valued string that defines the URLs to search for schema information. This is different that the SchemaCollectionRef because this contains all of the locations to search where SchemaCollectionRef simply specifies where to start.

Since there is no HTTP proxy between back-end Exchange servers, the schema collection reference (SCR) must point to a folder in the store where the object exists.

In searching for schema, the first match from the following lookup order is used:

Note   If the item is itself a folder, its SCR is used. If it does not have one, its parent folder is not used.
