Creating a Gauge, an Example

You can create a gauge using the compiler that comes with Visual C++, version 4.0 or later. The process used for other compilers should be similar.

The Panels SDK .zip file includes the sample code you need to build a gauge. Make sure your Visual C++ environment variables and paths are set up correctly before compiling the files. Change to the sample directory and type nmake. This will build Test.gau—an identical copy of the Bell 206B Jetranger fuel gauge used in Flight Simulator 98.
