Installing the Telephony Service Provider

If your Web telephony configuration includes a voice board or voice modem that is not integral to Windows 2000, you may need to install the telephone service provider (TSP) driver for your device.

To add a telephony service provider

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Phone and Modem options.
  3. On the Advanced tab, click Add.
  4. In Telephony Providers, click the specific TSP.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click Configure to configure the TSP.

Note  When you install a TSP, you must also install the associated audio driver.

If you are using a universal modem driver (Unimodem) V device for voice, you do not need to install a TSP.

This procedure adds only TSPs with drivers that are already installed on your hard drive in the systemroot\system32 folder. To install new drivers, use the setup or installation program provided on the manufacturer's disk.
