Organizing Anchor Elements

Anchor elements may follow a segment of text or be included in a segment of text. The following example shows anchor elements following a segment of text:

<P>Jimmy Stewart was a popular American movie star. His unforgettable performance in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" won him a place in the history of American entertainment. <BR>
<A HREF=Stewart.htm>Jimmy Stewart<A>
<A HREF=wonderful.htm>It's a Wonderful Life</A>

The following example shows anchor elements inside a segment of text:

<P> <A HREF=stewart.htm>Jimmy Stewart</A> was a popular American movie star. His unforgettable performance in the movie <A HREF=wonderful.htm>It's a Wonderful Life</A> won him a place in the history of American entertainment.
</P>

The WTE renders both situations in a similar fashion. Anchors are offered in the order they appear in the HTML text. It is your responsibility to properly use the cue-before and cue-after CSS properties in order for the TTS engine to correctly render the combined text.
