HTML Help Sample Web Site Overview

The Microsoft® HTML Help team has created a sample Web site that opens an instance of Microsoft Internet Explorer with the Internet Explorer toolbar buttons stripped away so the user navigates the site solely by using the HTML Help ActiveX® control.

We used the new HTML Help ActiveX control reference as the content for the sample Web site and include live-on-the-Web examples of every command that is available from the control. The topics are a subset of the documentation that will ship with the next version of HTML Help.

Notes

• The sample Web site, and all examples contained in the topics, are based on the 1.2 release of Microsoft HTML Help (Hhctrl.ocx version 8252). Some examples and features may not work with later versions of Hhctrl.ocx.
• When using the index on the sample Web site, please note that pressing the BACKSPACE key will take you back to the table of contents.
• You need to have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later to view these samples.
