These sites supplement, expand on, and demonstrate the technical information about Microsoft Agent presented here. Costas Andriotis' Microsoft Agent Pages Non-MS link
The Expressions page provides previews of animation and speech output for Microsoft Agent's three characters. The Reminders page demonstrates how you can use Agent for friendly reminders, and the Agent in Word 97 page shows you how to use Microsoft Agent in Microsoft Word 97.

Nathan Dickerson's Microsoft Agent Development Online Book Non-MS link
One chapter demonstrates how to create an interactive character for Microsoft Agent, including choosing animations, creating bitmaps, inserting animations and setting transparency, and building character files. Be sure to see the demonstration characters, Orin, Demona, and ProfessorX, that have simple scripting code you can peruse. Additional attractions include examples for scripting Microsoft Agent, and an interview with one of Microsoft Agent's creators.
