Getting Rid of the Underline on Text Hyperlinks

Quick Tips provided by Inside Microsoft FrontPage, a ZD Journals publication. Click here for a free issue Non-MS link. To receive the Tip of the Week in e-mail, click here Non-MS link.

When a hyperlink is created from text, FrontPage automatically underlines it. However, you can remove the underline in browsers that support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) like Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator 4.0 or later. To do so, right-click on the link and choose Hyperlink Properties. Click the Style button. In the Style dialog box that appears, click the Text tab. Choose None from the Decoration dropdown list. (This is not the same thing as leaving the Decoration text box blank.) Click OK twice to see the results.
