IMN_GUIDELINE

The IMN_GUIDELINE command is sent when an IME is about to show an error message or other information. An application processes this command by calling the ImmGetGuideLine function to retrieve the error message or information from the IME.

The application receives this command through the WM_IME_NOTIFY message with wParam and lParam set as follows.

Parameter

wParam

Set to IMN_GUIDELINE.

lParam

This parameter is not used.

Return Values

This command has no return value.

Remarks

The IME window displays the error message or information string in an information window.

  Windows NT/2000: Requires Windows NT 4.0 or later.
  Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 95 or later.
