SYMPTOMSAfter your Proxy Server version 2.0 computer receives active cache requests, active caching may stop. CAUSEThis problem can occur if your Proxy Server version 2.0 computer encounters name resolution errors. Proxy Server version 2.0 maintains a count of active cache requests currently outstanding, and only permits 10 at any time. However, the name resolution error path does not decrement the count, and after receiving 10 errors, active caching stops. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain and install Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 Service Pack 1.
