System Does Not Reboot After Installing SBS on Windows 95 System

SYMPTOMS

When you install Small Business Server on a system that is currently running Windows 95, the installation program copies all temporary files to the hard drive, but never restarts the system to complete the installation.

RESOLUTION

Manually restart the system after successfully copying all the files, which will allow the installation to complete.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Edition. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
