SYMPTOMSComputers will either disappear or not show up at all from the Manage Computer Wizard in the Small Business Server (SBS) console. CAUSEThis problem will happen if the protocol binding order for TCP/IP and the WINS client has the RAS WAN adapter bound before the network interface card (NIC). When the RAS WAN adapter is bound first, browse broadcasts are sent to the RAS WAN Adapter instead of the NIC. When the browse service does not get any response from the RAS WAN adapter, it believes there are no workstations on the network. This, in turn, causes computers to disappear from the "Computer Window" in the Manage Computers Wizard. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem:
