Fax Jobs Cannot Be Restarted When in a Retrying State

SYMPTOMS

A fax job that fails to be sent correctly will immediately enter a status of retrying. By default, it will be resent 3 more times at 10 minute intervals. The fax job cannot be restarted any sooner than whatever the retry attempt interval is set for.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem and send the job sooner, purge the current fax job and resubmit the original fax job.

If the default value of 10 minutes is too long, the retry interval can be set lower.
