ID: Q216894

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server versions 4.0, 4.0a, 4.5

SUMMARY

The fax service is started with the administrator account as its service account. By default, the only profiles to which can be used to route incoming faxes are those to which the administrator account has permission.

This article describes the steps required to select a mailbox other than the administrator mailbox to receive the faxes.

MORE INFORMATION

To route incoming faxes to another user's mailbox, follow these steps:

  1. Grant the administrator account user level permission to the user's Exchange mailbox.

  2. Create a new Exchange profile for the administrator account on the Small Business Server computer that points to the user's mailbox.

  3. Change the routing option to use the newly created profile.
