SYMPTOMS

When you use the Add/Remove User Wizard to try to view information for a mailbox where the alias and folder name are not the same, you may receive an error message:

The wizard was unable to find mailbox information for e-mail account name.


CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Exchange Canonical Name (for example, /o=org/ou=site[/cn=container]) and the user name are different. If this condition exists, the wizard does not associate the two names, and the error message listed earlier in this article is generated.


RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, click OK when you receive the error message so the wizard can continue.
