SYMPTOMSAfter you create a user name that contains non-alphanumeric characters, the Setup Computer Wizard does not continue past the Computer Name dialog box and the following error message is displayed:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because non-alphanumeric characters are not allowed. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5. MORE INFORMATIONA user name can be created using non-alphanumeric characters. The Setup Computer Wizard automatically creates a machine account based on the previously typed user name. If the user name contains non-alphanumeric characters, Setup Computer Wizard attempts to create a computer name using non-alphanumeric characters, based on the information obtained from the user name entered.
