TPU Grants SQL Access Permissions to Domain Users

By default, a TPU installation grants SQL access permission to the "domain users" group of the domain to which you are currently logged on. If you install TPU when logged on using a local machine account and not a domain account, or if you want to let people from "other domains" access the TPU, you can use the SQL Server Enterprise Manager and grant logon rights for those domain users. For more information, see the SQL Server Books Online.

Team Productivity Update Will Not Install on a BackOffice Server Computer That is Using a Different Language

If you attempt to install TPU on a BackOffice Server computer that is using a different language, the installation will not be successful. For example, it is not possible to install a US English version of the TPU on a German version of BackOffice Server 4.5.

Client Share Directory Name

Setup will ask you to choose a name for the client share directory; you should type a name that is eight characters or fewer. If you type a name that is longer than eight characters, some of the Setup programs on the Client Software Installation page may not work.

Outlook Client Share Directory Contains Internet Explorer

Setup creates a shared directory that contains the installation files for Outlook 2000 and Internet Explorer 5. If you remove this directory, the Outlook 2000 and Internet Explorer 5 links on the Client Software Installation page will not work.

Web Folders Remain After Uninstall

When the computer restarts after removing the Team Productivity Update, some Web folders may remain on the computer. You can delete the following Web folders if they are still in your InetPub\WWWRoot directory: TPUWeb, Team Folders, and TeamDocs.

Note: It is possible to change the default name for the TPUWeb folder when you install the TPU.
