TPU: Cannot Perform Multiple Administrative Tasks at the Same Time

SYMPTOMS

When you are attempting to perform multiple Team Productivity Update (TPU) administrative tasks at once in the TPU Management console, the following error message may appear:

Unable to execute this task while a related task is already running.

CAUSE

This error message occurs if you attempt to start a TPU administrative task while you are already performing the same task. TPU cannot run multiple instances of an administrative task at the same time. Microsoft Management Console (MMC) starts external programs to administer team workspaces, but you cannot run multiple instances of these programs at once.

RESOLUTION

Perform the administrative tasks separately, rather than at the same time.
