ID: Q242530

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Team Productivity Update for BackOffice Server 4.5

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Team Workspace, the following error message may be displayed when you create Team Folder Applications:

Team Workspace

Unable to complete aim application modifications.

Team Workspace Name: Test
Unable to add application(s).
Discussion Forum: Unable to create application Discussion Forum. Could not copy the application template into the destination Public Folder.
NOTE: The Team Workspace name and specified application may vary.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when another Team Workspace with the same name exists on the same public folder. When you create a second Team Workspace using the same name, Setup attempts to install the Team Folder Applications to the same public folder as the original Team Workspace. This action is unsuccessful because of insufficient rights.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the appropriate method:

  • Delete the original Team Workspace and its public folders.

  • Give the new Team Workspace a different name.

  • Specify a different public folder for the new Team Workspace.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
