SYMPTOMSWhen you are upgrading Small Business Server (SBS) version 4.0 or 4.0a to version 4.5 using the Value-Added Upgrade (VUP) compact discs, you are prompted to insert CD-ROM 2. After you insert CD-ROM 2, you may receive the following error message: This message reoccurs repeatedly, even though you have already inserted CD-ROM 2. CAUSE
The silk-screened CD-ROM labels have been switched on CD-ROM 2 and CD-ROM 3 in some copies of the product titled "Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5 Upgrade for Users of Small Business Server 4.0" (also known as Value-Added Upgrade, or VUP).
RESOLUTION
During the upgrade process, insert CD-ROM 3 when CD-ROM 2 is requested, and vice versa. You can mark the CD-ROMs correctly with a permanent marker.
