When you use individual POP3 e-mail accounts on your computer running BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5, the POP3 connector is able to retrieve e-mail messages from the POP3 servers. However, the POP3 connector may not be able to deliver e-mail messages to the correct recipient. This behavior occurs even though you have the correct Exchange Server recipient's mailbox assigned on the User Mailboxes tab in the POP3 connector properties dialog box.
Where old_domain.com is the domain name used before changing the site addressing or the user's SMTP address. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the POP3 connector database is not automatically synchronized with the Exchange Directory database. If the user's original SMTP address used by the POP3 connector for a recipient is removed or modified, the Internet Mail Service is not able to deliver the message. RESOLUTIONTo correct this behavior and replicate the changes to the POP3 connector database, you must re-assign each recipient to their respective POP3 mailbox. When you assign an Exchange Server Recipient to a POP3 e-mail account on the User Mailboxes tab in the POP3 connector properties, the POP3 connector retrieves the SMTP reply address for that Exchange Server recipient, associates it to the POP3 account, and stores this information in a database.
