SUMMARY

The Commerce Interchange Pipeline Manager (CIPM) online documentation topic "Configuring the Audit Databases and Components" directs users to create a connection string with a Data Source Name (DSN) that points directly to a table rather than an ODBC DSN.

Step 4 of the "Configuring The Audit Databases And Components" states the following:

Type the Connection string for the database. For example, if the name of the database is Audit, the user ID is SA, and the password is blank, then type the following connection string: DSN=Audit; PWD=; UID=SA
Step 4 should read:
Type the Connection string for the database. For example, if the ODBC data source name (DSN) is CIP, the user ID is SA, and the password is blank, then type the following connection string: DSN=CIP; PWD=; UID=SA. If the tables are not created in the default database, the connection string must also specify the appropriate database; for example: DSN=CIP; DATABASE=Audit; PWD=; UID=SA
