SYMPTOMSAfter you install Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.1 or later, the Commerce Interchange Pipeline Manager (CIPM) interface no longer displays the contents of the CIPM database; instead, it displays the initial CIPM Wizard interface, as if no profiles were configured. Attempts to run any of the three available wizards results in an Unknown Error message. CAUSECIPM uses adModeShareDenyWrite on the ADO open call to the CIPM database (Cipm.mdb). Although this worked in ADO 1.5, it is not supported in ADO 2.0 and later. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server
that contains this fix. http://www.microsoft.com/support/supportnet/overview/overview.asp
