Trey Research Sample Site Redirects to Closed Page When Site Is Open

• Microsoft Site Server version 3.0, Commerce Edition

SYMPTOMS

Trey Research redirects to the closed page even though the site is open. This occurs only if the SQL Server computer and Trey Research are on different servers and Named Pipes is used instead of TCP/IP Sockets in the system DSN.

CAUSE

This is by design.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, enable Sockets instead of Named Pipes on the System DSN that Trey Research uses. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Double-click the System DSN used to connect to Trey Research.



2. In the SQL Server DSN configuration dialog box, click Next.



3. Click the Client Configuration button and select the TCP/IP Network library.
