Site Server 3.0 SP2 Removes CommercePipelineComponents Package from MTS

SYMPTOMS

Site Server 3.0 SP2 removes the CommercePipelineComponents package from Microsoft Transaction Server.

CAUSE

This is by design.

The only Pipeline component in the CommercePipelineComponents package is SQLItemADO. However, having SQLItemADO in the CommercePipelineComponents package causes an unnecessary delay of about eight seconds during the final stage of a purchase. The package is removed for performance reasons.
