SYMPTOMSIf an OLE document (for example, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is published to a Content Management site (such as /FPSample) and the document's properties are subsequently changed directly using the Office application, then the Content Management properties, as set through the Content Management Web pages, are lost. CAUSESite Server Content Management stores properties in a separate location within the file than regular Office documents. This information is consequently overwritten when the properties are changed through the Document Properties dialog box from an Office application. WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, only modify document properties through the Web interface of Content Management or through Site Server WebAdmin.
