ActiveX GPF When Uploading File on Alpha Computer

• Microsoft Site Server version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

When you upload a zero byte file using the ActiveX Upload Control, an access violation error message occurs and a Dr. Watson log is generated.

WORKAROUND

Do not use the ActiveX Upload Control. Instead, use the HTTP Upload Control.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server 3.0.
