Personal Web Page PMADMIN Command States "Unable to Get Mapping Information"

SYMPTOMS

When you run the PMADMIN Get Mapping command line utility to see if a membership instance is mapped, mapping information is returned in a proper concise manner if mapping exists.

If the FTP server is not mapped, it states "Unable to get mapping information" instead of stating "Service:msftpsvc; Instance:x - Not Mapped." If the command line utility returns "Unable to get mapping information," then the FTP server is not mapped to a membership instance and is free to do so with the PMADMIN set mapping command.

Personal Web Page functionality is not adversely affected by this.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 2.5.
