Membership Directory Manager: First Group Associations Disappear and Functional Association Lost

• Microsoft Site Server version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

In the Membership Directory Manager, the first group associations for a member disappear from the property sheet, and the member's functional association is lost. As a result the member cannot access the server.

NOTES:

• This only occurs when you use a SQL Server-based Membership instance.
• Although the group properties show that the member is associated with the group, the member does not have the access right associated with the group.

RESOLUTION
