Language Auto-Detect Overrides the Content-Language Meta Tag

Microsoft Site Server version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Search Crawl feature in Site Server, the language auto-detect component overrides the content-language meta tag.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use the following search text string

"@META_content-language XX"

where XX equates to the language tag you want. This search returns all documents that contain the language tag you want.

NOTE: Do not use the following search text:

"@DetectedLanguage=NNNN"

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Site Server 3.0. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
