This article describes how to move a Commerce Server store from one computer to another.

To move a Commerce Server store from one computer to another, use the following steps:

  1. On the new computer, run the Site Foundation Wizard to create a new foundation for the already-developed Commerce Server store.


  2. Delete the directories and files that the Site Foundation Wizard created on the new computer.


  3. Copy the store and all subdirectories, except any related to FrontPage, to the new application directory.


  4. Open the Commerce Host Administrator and make changes to the site settings for both secure and nonsecure host names and for the database connection strings. Alternatively, do not overwrite the Site.csc file that was created by the Site Foundation Wizard.
