Usage Analysis Import History Manager Produces a "Run-time error. '6': Overflow" Warning

SYMPTOMS

When attempting to use Site Server 3.0 Usage Analysis Import History Manager in the Usage Import module, the following warning dialog box appears:

Run-time error. '6':
Overflow
OK

When you click OK, the program exits.

CAUSE

More than 2519 logs have been imported into Usage Import. Internally, Import History Manager is multiplying the number of logs imported by two other large numbers. The product exceeds the maximum value for an integer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Site Server 3.0. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
