SYMPTOMSThe MCIS 2.5 HTML Mail Interface (HMI) uses Posting Acceptor to upload e-mail attachments. When an HMI user supplies an invalid file name for the e-mail attachment, Posting Acceptor returns an HTTP error code 500. Depending on the browser configuration, either the server error 500 message or the "friendly HTTP error message" supplied by the browser is displayed in the HMI user interface. This may confuse the HMI user because the error message does not include details for the error that occurred. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Site Server 3.0.
