Error Message: There Is No Address Selected When Attempting to Make a Purchase Using Wallet

SYMPTOMS

On Windows 2000, when you attempt to make a purchase from a sample commerce site using the Microsoft Wallet, the following error message appears, even though you have added a new address to the address book:

There is no address selected. You must select an address from the list or add a new address.


CAUSE

The standalone Microsoft Wallet shipped in products prior to Windows 2000 is not supported by Windows 2000. Windows 2000 instead supports the Microsoft Passport, which includes the Passport wallet service.
