The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSEven though you can upload and see a file on the FTP server, it cannot be downloaded. CAUSE
When handling a PUT, FTP uses the credentials configured in the virtual directory configuration.
The result is that you can either send the file to the FTP server or delete the file from the FTP server, however, the file cannot be downloaded.
WORKAROUNDGranted Permissions to the UNC path to the Windows NT account that is used for Anonymous access for the FTP site. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Commercial Internet System service pack
