SYMPTOMSWhen you install Site Server 3.0 or Site Server 3.0, Commerce Edition on a computer running Windows 2000, the following error message may occur: However, when you click No, the dialog box does not disappear and Setup does not continue as expected. CAUSEThe Site Server 3.0, Commerce Edition installer attempts to overwrite a protected DLL named Pid.dll. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Site Server 3.0. Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q219292 How to Obtain the Latest Site Server 3.0 Service Pack After you install Site Server 3.0 Service Pack 3, run Ss3w2k.exe prior to installing Site Server 3.0, Commerce Edition on Windows 2000.
