SYMPTOMSWhen a client attempts to authenticate to a Web site that requires DPA authentication, an Access Violation occurs on the server with an error message similar the following:
CAUSEThis violation will be caused if you have Infocomm.dll version 4.02.0729 or later. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server service pack

This fix should only be installed on Windows NT 4.0 having Infocomm.dll with version 4.02.0729 or later. If the fix is installed on a computer with Infocomm.dll version prior to 4.02.0729 then it may cause a leakage in the private bytes pool of the inetinfo process. Additional query words: AV
