MMC Does Not Update After CRS Stopped and Restarted from Command Line

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Management Console (MMC) user interface doesn't update after CRS is stopped and restarted from the command line.


CAUSE

If a different case is used for the project name (that is, project versus Project) on the command line, the project status is not updated in the MMC.


WORKAROUND

Use the same case for the project name on the command line and in the MMC.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server service pack that contains this fix.

STATUS
