Closing Quick Windows Viewer From Task List Closes SMS.EXE

The information in this article applies to:

Microsoft Systems Management Server versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2

SYMPTOMS

When you bring up the Task List, select Quick Windows Viewer, and choose End Task, SMS.EXE is also terminated.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
