INSTALLING SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT SERVER 1.1 SERVICE PACK 1

Copy the self-extracting file to a directory on your hard drive and type the name of the self-extracting file with a "-d" switch after it. For example, to decompress the file, SMS11S1I.EXE, enter the following command:


   Sms11s1i.exe -d

After the service pack has been decompressed, run the SETUP.BAT program to install the updated files.

NOTE: If the following Setup error message appears:

Since you are running Setup from your local program group, you cannot install a Site Server or Administrator UI, upgrade the site of add new components. Run Setup from the SMS CD-ROM to perform these operations.

then decompress the Service Pack on a hard disk where SMS is not installed and run SETUP.BAT.
