SMS 1.2 Allows SNMP Setup of SMS 1.1 Child Sites

Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.2

SYMPTOMS

The parent site using Systems Management Server 1.2 configures the children sites using Systems Management Server 1.1 with SNMP trap filters. The SNMP trap filter is not a recognized feature in Systems Management Server 1.1.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
