SMS: "Update distribution points on a schedule" Option Cannot Be Cleared

SYMPTOMS

Once a Systems Management Server (SMS) package has been created, it is possible to set the package option "Update distribution points on a schedule." However, once this option has been set, the option cannot be cleared. You can clear the option; however, if you exit the property page and then view again, the option is still selected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 2.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. service pack for Systems Management Server version 2.0.
