SYMPTOMSSNA Manager generates an application exception error after the user deletes an LUA pool and then stops the TN3270 service. This behavior can be reproduced using the steps below.
CAUSESNA Manager does not release the pointer to the LU from the user object. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server versions 3.0, 3.0 SP1, and 3.0 SP2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S. Service Pack.
