SYMPTOMSHost print jobs that begin with an initial Form Feed ('0x0C') command cause a blank page to be printed before the rest of the print job prints, even after you configure the FEEDIGNOREINITIAL for the print session using SNACFG. CAUSE
SNACFG (SNA Server Command Line Configuration utility) includes
support for
a FEEDIGNOREINITIAL parameter for 3270 print sessions. This
parameter is
designed to suppress Form Feed commands at the beginning of host
print
jobs.
RESOLUTIONSNA Server 3.0To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SNA Server version 3.0. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:Q184307 How to Obtain the Latest SNA Server Version 3.0 Service Pack SNA Server 4.0Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 4.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for SNA Server version 4.0.
