SYMPTOMSWhen the TN3270 server is under a session load of 30,000 sessions and a client is started, the connection and Logical Unit (LU) status in SNA Server Manager does not change. In some cases, however, status updates might occur after thirty minutes or more have elapsed. CAUSEThe status information is not being sent to the SNA Manager. RESOLUTIONMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 4.0 and 4.0 Service Pack 1. This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S. Service Pack.
