SYMPTOMSOn certain 5250 screens, the WIN5250 applet incorrectly displays error messages on line 24. This results in the previously displayed text on line 24 being cleared, and this text is not refreshed after the error is reset. CAUSEIn general, AS/400 system screens are not affected by this problem, as they use line 24 only for error information. This problem mainly affects custom written 5250 application screens that use line 24 for application data. If an error message is written to line 24, the application data is overwritten. The application data is not refreshed when the error is reset. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft SNA Server version 4.0 service pack
that contains this fix. http://www.microsoft.com/support/supportnet/overview/overview.aspThe English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
