Microsoft recommends using the SNA client Setup program to remove the client software. However, if this is not possible, the following procedures document how to manually remove either the SNA Windows 9x client or SNA Windows NT client included with SNA Server 4.0.

Manually removing the SNA Windows 95 Client on Windows 9x and Windows NT
- Click Start, Run, and in the Open box type Explorer.
- Locate the folder in which SNA Server 4.0 Client for Windows 95 was installed. The default is C:\Sna95.
NOTE: If Service Pack 2 was included in the version of SNA Server Client 4.0, the default folder will be C:\Program Files\SNA95.
- Rename the folder to Old_Sna95. For information about how to rename a folder, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type renaming, and then select the Renaming folders topic.
- Remove the following folder:
Windows 9x - Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft SNA Server Client
Windows NT - WINNT\Profiles\%User%\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft SNA Server Client
- Start a command prompt by following the steps for each operating system:
Windows 9x- Click Start, click Programs, and then select MS-DOS Prompt.
- At the command prompt, type the following and press
Enter:
cd\windows\system
Windows NT- Click Start, click Programs, and then select Command Prompt.
- At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter:
cd\winnt\system32
At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:

- Restart the computer by clicking Start, Shutdown, and Restart the computer.
- Once back at the Desktop, all files renamed with the *.OLD extension may be deleted to gain disk space.
Manually removing the SNA Windows NT Client on Windows NT
- Click Start, Run, and in the Open box type Explorer.
- Locate the folder in which SNA Server 4.0 Client for Windows NT was installed. The default is C:\Sna.
